Why Giza and Saqqara together
Saqqara lies about half an hour’s drive south of Giza, and the contrast is the point of the day. At Giza you see the pyramid at its most perfect, in the smooth giants of Khufu, Khafre and Menkaure. At Saqqara you see where it began, in the six stacked steps of Djoser’s pyramid and the decorated tombs of the officials who served the early kings.
Good to know

- Entrance fees for the listed sites, mineral water and lunch at a local Egyptian restaurant are included.
